Group/Community Programs
Equine-facilitated psychotherapy groups in collaboration with trusted community partners. These programs are designed to support shared healing through connection, experiential learning, and trauma-informed care. Group sessions integrate therapeutic activities with equine partners to promote emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience within a supportive, collective environment. Programs can be customized for each partner organization and their needs.
Individual Services
Individual equine-facilitated psychotherapy sessions provide personalized, trauma-informed care in a private, nature-based setting. Clients work one-on-one with a licensed mental health professional and equine partners to explore emotional patterns, build coping skills, and strengthen nervous system regulation through experiential therapeutic processes.
Sessions are tailored to each client’s goals and needs and are appropriate for individuals seeking deeper, individualized support

Insurance may be accepted to help cover a portion of the cost for individual equine-facilitated psychotherapy, with private pay options also available.
Workshops & Trainings
Our monthly workshops offer a unique opportunity to experience Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) in a supportive, small-group setting. Each workshop explores a specific theme—such as grounding, boundaries, self-compassion, or identity—through interactive activities with our therapy horses. Open to adults and professionals seeking personal growth, healing, or a deeper connection with themselves and others, these workshops are held at our Central Florida locations and are donation-based to keep them accessible. No horse experience is necessary—just a willingness to show up, reflect, and engage.

Life Reins offers immersive Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) Training for mental health professionals interested in integrating equine-assisted methods into their trauma-informed practice. Our three-day training combines foundational classroom learning with hands-on experience alongside our therapy horses, equipping participants with practical skills, ethical considerations, and a deeper understanding of the human-equine therapeutic relationship. With a focus on safety, compassion, and empowerment, our training is ideal for clinicians, social workers, and counselors seeking to expand their healing toolkit. Trainings are offered in small groups to ensure a personalized and experiential learning environment.
Community Outreach & Engagement
At Life Reins, we believe that healing begins with connection—both in and beyond the arena. Our Community Outreach & Engagement efforts focus on building awareness, reducing stigma around mental health and trauma, and making Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) more accessible across Central Florida. We partner with local schools, nonprofits, and advocacy groups to provide presentations, resource fairs, wellness events, and customized workshops that highlight the power of trauma-informed, experiential healing. By engaging with the community, we’re planting seeds of hope and creating pathways to recovery for those who need it most.
