Life Reins, Inc. is dedicated to providing trauma-informed mental health services through Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) to individuals and communities in need. Our mission is to promote healing, resilience, and empowerment by connecting people with the restorative power of horses in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. We are committed to serving vulnerable populations—including survivors of trauma, at-risk youth, veterans, and first responders—across Central Florida.

Horses are powerful partners in healing. As prey animals, they are deeply intuitive and highly attuned to human emotion and behavior—responding to nonverbal cues with honesty, sensitivity, and presence. In Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP), this creates a unique therapeutic environment where individuals can explore trust, safety, boundaries, and emotional regulation in real time. Unlike traditional talk therapy, working with horses allows for embodied, experiential healing that supports trauma recovery on a deeper level.
